I remember the day, over a year ago, when I first heard about YTB . Naturally, I immediately headed to Google to type in YTB. I found this very blog and several standard affiliate sites. I had high hopes for this blog, but when I read it, I realized it had the same standard sales pitch. I didn't want a sales pitch. I wanted real information.

I wanted to know what the REAL deal was, and that is why I began writing on this blog . I want those of you who are looking at the YTB opportunity to have REAL information that will help you make an informed decision- regardless of whose team you ultimately join. No sales pitch here (I probably couldn't make a decent one if I tried...) With that said:

Before I joined I read through every letter in the Rep and RTA agreements, I looked at the company's financial information, and I read everything I could get my hands on about YTB Travel, the leaders, the top money earners, you name it. So, if your sole issue is whether YTB is legitimate- I can only speak as to what I've seen and experienced, but in my personal opinion, YTB appears to be the real deal. But the real question is-Is YTB the right opportunity for you?

Determining if YTB or Your Travel Biz is right for you is the ultimate answer you are searching for, so here is a candid assessment of the program to help you make this decision.

1. If you are joining YTB because you think you will make millions tomorrow, and will be devastated if your bank account doesn't fill up immediately upon joining- YTB is not for you. While YTB is a great opportunity, it requires work. Not just the 30 minutes a day work- it requires the "I'm going to sacrifice some play time to get my financial freedom" work. No matter what anyone tells you- no network marketing system is a "get rich quick" business. Period. If anyone tells you otherwise- head for the hills, fast!

The big recruiters that are featured on the testimonials more likely than not brought their downlines over from another business, and that is how they made 6 figures or more in 2-3 months. Now, to be fair to them- they had to start from square one at some point- but you never hear about the years it took them to get to where they had a viable downline.

The bottom line is that this business takes WORK- but unlike your 9 to 5, hard work in network marketing (and specifically YTB) CAN set you financially free!

2. If you like to travel, YTB is for you. You really can get some great travel perks as an industry insider. The travel products YTB sells are real. In fact, Your Travel Biz has done so well in the travel industry, that they have earned the respect of major travel vendors, including Carnival Cruise lines, which gave YTB it's top sales award. So, if you are wondering if the travel perks you've heard about are real, they are.

3. If you are sick of working like mad, only to live from paycheck to paycheck, then YTB is for you. If you can follow a system, are ready to invest some time, and yes, spend some money- then YTB is for you. No matter what anyone says, you cannot get something for nothing.

Don't be shocked- YTB costs around $500 initially and $49 per month for your booking engine. If you don't feel strongly about doing what it takes to get that initial money, then YTB probably isn't for you. YTB takes dedication, and like any brick and mortar business, it may take some time for the money to start coming in- but with hard work and determination you can be successful in YTB, and you CAN get your financial freedom.

The one thing you should realize, though, is that YTB is a business not a job. FedEx wasn't built in a month, and your business won't be built in a month either. You must work if you want to make money. You must market your business to make money. But, (and this may surprise you) you do not have to be a sales person to succeed in YTB.

In sum, YTB is a wonderful opportunity. It is a legitimate opportunity. However it isn't for everyone. Others may not be honest with you about the fact that YTB is NOT for everyone. In growing my business, I am far more concerned with determining if YTB is right for my prospects, than I am with selling them on the YTB opportunity.
